CHS Junior Sponsored to Attend PA Keystone Girls State

Brandi Thomas, a Charleroi High School junior is being sponsored by Charleroi American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 to attend Keystone Girls State on June 24-30 at Shippensburg University.

This "Experience in Government" session is sponsored by the ALA and about 200 girls are brought together through sponsorship of local ALA units and other organizations to study government on city, county and state levels. During the week, the girls will elect city, county, and state officials.

Brandi is the daughter of Mr. James Thomas of Wexford and Mrs. Susan Ritchey of Charleroi. She will be the guest speaker September 27th at the Charleroi ALA Unit 22 meeting to relay her experiences at Keystone Girls State. Brandi has plans to attend college to pursue engineering.
