Peters Township Council Approves Zoning Plan for New Fiori’s Restaurant

A public hearing was held in Peters Township Council Chambers on May 13 to act  upon a request by Fiorentino Moscatiello to open a sit-down eating establishment, Fiori’s Restaurant at 3801 Washington Road, the site of the former Parkvale Bank.

May 22, 2013 - In response to the May 6 public hearing informing Ramaco, LLC of conditions to be imposed upon their application to operate a deep coal mine in Nottingham Township, Faith Bjalobak of McMurray wrote a scathing letter to the Observer-Reporter published May 13 entitled “Corporate Bullying in Nottingham”.

Owners of the Union Gardens Project, their engineer, and their attorney met with the Union Township Engineer, Zoning and Code Enforcement Officers and Solicitor earlier this month in regard to their violation of a grading permit issued by the township.

Tree Issue May be Settled at Finleyville Airport

The three parties involved in a dispute that has spanned years appear to have reached final agreement to cut down trees impinging on the flight path of planes landing and taking off from Finleyville airport which is located in Union Township.
